# Basic information

**History. What is Huebel Bolt?**

*Primary, it's worth understanding that the meme token was born in the CIS community, which is notable for its humor. Most of the content is realized in local languages.*

$BOLT appeared in May 2022, becoming the first, and eventually the most popular meme token on the TON blockchain. The purpose of creating the token was to mock other tokens and projects. The cryptocommunity is too serious about analyzing tokens (tokens), trying to study the structure of the holdings, look for utility, see if the project has serious investors, etc. Huebel $BOLT was supposed to erase these boundaries and make users think that it's all bullshit - the price of an asset depends only on how much everyone believes in its potential.

And $BOLT successfully coped with its task, and within the next year, most of the active users from the TON-community were engaged. During $BOLT's existence, a strong community of memologists formed around it, who started their own channels and began to humorously (and sometimes even with normal analytics) cover events in The Open Network ecosystem.

Right now, the bolt ecosystem consists of several dozen channels that directly or indirectly support the bolt movement.
